Golf at Millbrook Resort

Based in New Zealand‘s South Island, Millbrook Resort is a golfer’s dream come true. Spread across 650 acres of pristine countryside near Arrowtown (next to Queenstown), this world-class resort offers an unrivalled golfing experience, luxurious accommodation, and a wide range of activities that cater to travellers seeking both relaxation and adventure. With its stunning scenery, and impeccable service, Millbrook Resort has earned many awards since its inception, with World Travel Awards announcing it as ‘The’ best golf resort in New Zealand on many occasions. This has solidified its reputation as one of the premier golf destinations in the Southern Hemisphere.

About the course

At the heart and soul of Millbrook Resort is its award-winning golf course. Designed by the renowned Sir Bob Charles and Greg Turner, the resort boasts not one, but two championship courses, each offering a different experience. The Remarkables, and The Coronet courses are known for their stunning views, challenging layouts, and immaculately maintained fairways and greens. Thanks to the team at Millbrook, Luxury Adventures was able to experience a round on the Remarkables course. (I can tell you we were not disappointed!)

Home of the New Zealand Open, Millbrook can be best described as an alpine links course. Both courses have scenic rolling greens and immaculately manicured fairways. It has several natural hazards including tussocks, streams, schist stone, trees, and villas. The Remarkables course stands out for its dramatic alpine backdrop, which includes the towering Remarkables Mountain Range. The Coronet course showcases Millbrook Precinct and the Coronet peak mountain range. The courses have five different tee positions, offering challenges for all levels. There is a golf academy on-site with experienced instructors available for bookings, to help you improve your game, and a pro shop to provide you with the best golfing gear and apparel or even a souvenir. Warm up at the dedicated pitching and putting area, which is in addition to a covered and heated driving range. We chose to walk the course, but you have the option of a GPS electric cart as well.

After a day on the greens, guests can unwind in style at Millbrook Resort’s luxurious accommodation.
