Hapuku Lodge
Hapuku Lodge, Kaikoura
description

Hapuku Lodge sits tight between the mountains and the ocean, on a deer stud and olive farm. Designed as a contemporary country inn, with six guest rooms, a separate apartment and its own cafe. We built Hapuku Lodge to give our guests a great night’s sleep in one the most beautiful places in the world. We are proud to announce that our much-anticipated TreeHouses at Hapuku Lodge are now open, nested in the branches of the manuka grove. Designed by owner Tony Wilson and his brother, Peter Wilson, the TreeHouses are a compliment to the spectacular surrounding environment. A unique accommodation experience of sleeping amongst the branches is matched with the luxury of our custom-crafted and ultra-comfy king bed, large spa bath and efficient Danish log-burning fireplaces. Wide-screen televisions, Bose and Ipod stereo systems, rain-fountain showers and heated floors complete the high-level (excuse the pun!) of guest comfort. With stunning mountain and sea views, the individual TreeHouses are named after the native birds which have quickly adjusted to their new neighbours in the trees.

Facilities
Guests at Hapuku Lodge have available a huge range of activities in and around Kaikoura. To name a few: Whale watching, Swimming with the dolphins (our favourite), Hiking, or tramping, as New Zealanders call it, Scenic flights, Maori cultural tours, it is less than a kilometer down our country lane to the ocean surf of Mangamaunu Bay. Guests can use the Lodges mountain bikes (and helmets) to tour the local by-ways.
