description

Cape Tribulation is the only place on Earth where two World Heritage listed areas meet – the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. Ranging from open forest woodlands, wetlands and mangroves to dense rainforest that surrenders to white sandy beaches and fringing coral reefs.

Start your journey by settling back in our very comfortable Mercedes Benz 7-seater Valence, enjoying the stunning vistas of the world renowned “Great Barrier Reef Drive”. Our first stop is Mossman Gorge, nestled away in the World Heritage listed Daintree National Park. Here’s your chance to sample authentic Billy Tea and Damper in the midst of the oldest surviving rainforest in the world.

Next we’re off to enjoy an hour cruising along the Daintree River with one of the best operators around, whose knowledge of local fauna and flora is unsurpassed. And did someone say “Crocodiles?” because you’re in their territory now! The adventure continues as we cross the river on the Daintree Car Ferry, then head up to the Alexandra Lookout, where we see the breathtaking view of where the rainforest truly meets the mighty Great Barrier Reef – truly a sight to behold.

If you’ve worked up an appetite by now, never fear! A catered tropical lunch, as well as local in-season fruits and refreshments, awaits you at the most beautiful, secluded, absolutely private waterhole, where we can also swim in the crystal clear water.

Heading north, we continue our drive up to Cape Tribulation itself for a leisurely stroll along the rainforest-bordered white sandy beach, where you can witness two world heritage listed sites side by side in perfect harmony.

Last of all, we make a stop at the Daintree Ice-cream Factory for their delicious ice-cream, made from the tropical fruits of the forest. You’ve never had ice-cream quite like this…. And then it’s home sweet home, taking with us memories and friends to last a lifetime.
