Dunk Island is Australia's most beautiful tropical rainforest island. This island of peace and plenty offers an amazing variety of activities, facilities and experiences. It was known to the first inhabitants as 'Coonanglebah' - the Island of Peace and Plenty. Today, Dunk Island continues to be Australia's most beautiful rainforest island. With an enormous variety of activities to choose from, it's hard deciding what to do next. You could start the day with a rainforest walk and take in the spectacular views from the summit of Mt Kootaloo. After breakfast, explore one of the National Park walking trails through the rainforest and later perhaps a snorkel at Muggy Muggy Beach. During lunch you can plan the afternoon ahead. Perhaps some water skiing followed by a game of tennis. Or should that be kayaking followed by squash? And that's just one day on Dunk Island. You've still got to fit in a trip to the Great Barrier Reef, a visit to the Artists' Colony, horse riding on the beach, and some fishing! Sydney Opera House Tour

You could start the day with a rainforest walk and take in the spectacular views from the summit of Mt Kootaloo. Desert Awakenings 4WD Tour
You arrive at your private dune top viewing area well before the sun breaches the horizon. As your traditional bushman's breakfast is being prepared over the fire, your guide will explain the retreating star scape above. Enjoy a cup of Billy Tea and Damper as you watch the sunrise bring you spectacular views of Uluru and the vast landscape stretching as far as the eye can see. After breakfast your guide will explain the natural history of the region. Next depart for Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and the Cultural Centre, a vibrant and engaging place of learning where the local lore of the Anangu (Aboriginal people) is explained in fantastic detail. Next we are off to Uluru (Ayers Rock) where we take a short walk into Mutitjulu waterhole. A visit here will help you to appreciate its cathedral like proportions and why it is such a powerful and spiritual place for visitors and Anangu alike.

Luxury Adventures Fine Print

Payment

To confirm your package Luxury Adventures requires a deposit of 25% of the total package cost. This booking deposit is non refundable. The deposit secures airfares and accommodation bookings etc. Full payment for the package is required 60 days before tour commencement. If a booking is made less than 60 days before tour commencement, then payment is required in full at the time of booking. All prices are quoted in NZ dollars unless otherwise specified. Prices include New Zealand Goods and Services Tax at 15%. Payment can be made by direct bank (telegraphic) transfers, or credit card. All credit cards will incur a transaction fee of 4%. Our preferred method of payment is by direct bank (Telegraphic) transfer please contact us for details. Or you can fill out your credit card details on our secure booking form.

Cancellations

It is recommended that you take out travel insurance covering cancellation. 25% of the total cost of the package is in any event nonrefundable. In the event of a cancellation 30 to 60 days prior to tour commencement, we will refund 50% of the package price. In the event of a cancellation 29 days or less prior to tour commencement, there will be no refund. This cancelation policy is subject to change during peak season and special events, in this case you will be notified prior to confirmation of booking.

Limitation of Liability

We expect you to be honest with us in assessing your level of fitness and abilities. The activities you will be undertaking can be demanding and involve the risk of serious injury or death. There are other risks such as theft or damage to property. Luxury Adventures will not be responsible for any loss or injury whatsoever that you or parties associated with you may suffer. You and all members of your party will be required to sign a release form (see below) prior to commencement of tour activities.

Release Form

I hereby acknowledge that Luxury Adventures will not be responsible for any loss or injury (including death) that I may suffer as a result of taking a tour with Luxury Adventures. I agree to make no claim against Luxury Adventures arising out of the tour and I further agree that no third party may make a claim through me or on my behalf. The provisions of this release shall apply to Luxury Adventures, its directors, employees and agents. Should any dispute arise between the parties such dispute will be governed exclusively by the laws of New Zealand.
