Day 1 – 25th December 2024
Merry Christmas!
Today you will be privately transferred from a central Auckland location to your accommodation.
This afternoon hit the trails, explore Treetops, privately owned 2500-acre nature reserve, offering exclusive use of 70 km (35 miles) of private hiking trails. This is genuine, secluded natural wilderness. Unprecedented private hiking and adventure trails providing spectacular views, ancient rainforest, four waterfalls and lakes, seven trout fishing streams, as well as the opportunity to get up close to the estate’s wildlife.

Day 2 – 26th December 2024
Enjoy this morning at your leisure.
12.00pm: You will be transferred to Whakarewarewa – The Living Maori Village for a Geothermal & Cultural Experience.
Approximately 2.30pm: You will be privately transferred back to your accommodation.
Accommodation: Treetops Lodge & Estate
Day 3 – 27th December 2024
This morning you will be privately transferred to the Rotorua Airport.
11.30am Depart Rotorua
1.25pm Arrive Christchurch
On arrival, you will be privately transferred to your accommodation in central Christchurch.
This afternoon enjoy Punting on the Avon River & a stroll through the Botanical Gardens.

Day 4 – 28th December 2024
06.25am An early start this morning, you will be privately transferred to Christchurch Railway Station for your Coastal Pacific Train to Kaikoura which departs at 7am.
On arrival you will be collected by one of the team from South Pacific Helicopters. They will look after you for a few hours & take care of your luggage so you can explore Kaikoura. You can visit the seal colonies, go for a walk through town, enjoy lunch & then you will be transferred to South Pacific Helicopters base.
2.30pm: Scenic helicopter transfer to your accommodation.
3.00pm: Arrive at your accommodation. You will be greeted by the family & shown your accommodation. Then you’ll take a short walk to the woolshed for a tour of the facilities, meet some sheep and the farm dogs.
This evening enjoy an outdoor hot tub, roasting marshmallows at the fire pit and dinner at 6:30pm
Accommodation: Middlehurst Station
Day 5 – 29th December 2024
Collect fresh eggs from the hen house for breakfast.
11am: 4WD station tour and picnic lunch by the river at Middlehursts Musterers’ hut, returning by 2:30pm. Opportunity to spot birds, deer, cows and calves etc..
3pm: Time at your leisure – Options include playing lawn or board games, go for a short walk etc.
6:30pm: Dinner

Day 6 – 30th December 2024
This morning the kids can enjoy a pony ride & the rest of the morning can be spent at your leisure on the farm.
This afternoon the kids will be looked after by by the lodge staff while you & your husband take the E-bikes (please note there are only 2 bikes) to explore farm tracks or cycle to Molesworth historic Cob Cottage along the stunning Awatere Valley Road (20km one way). The kids will be invited to participate in farm chores where possible, i.e milking the house cow & feeding the horses etc.
Followed by another evening hot tub, roasting more marshmallows at the fire pit & dinner at 6.30pm

Day 7 – 31st December 2024
This morning you will take you heli transfer (1 hour) from Middlehurst Station to Christchurch for your flight to Queenstown
11.00am: Depart Christchurch
12.15pm: Arrive in Queenstown
On arrival collect your hire car & drive (1 hour, although might be longer due to traffic in town) to your accommodation in Glenorchy.
6.30pm: Dinner time at the lodge, a 6 course degustation! Kids will have a more child friendly version & when they’re ready, just a short distance away, there will be bean bags set up with a large projector screen for a movie!

Day 8 – 1st January 2025
Happy Birthday!
This morning your daughter can start off her special day with a fun filled morning going up the gondola & riding the luge!
This afternoon make your way back to Glenorchy for a thrilling & scenic jet boat ride!

Day 9 – 2nd January 2025
Today return your hire car at the Queenstown Airport before your departure flight home

Payment
All travel between 15 December – 06 January
Balance payment is due no later than 14 August. Where a booking is made after 14 August, the total trip cost is required at the time of booking.
All prices are quoted in NZ dollars unless otherwise specified. Prices include New Zealand Goods and Services Tax (GST) at 15%. Payment can be made by direct bank (telegraphic) transfers, or credit card. Payments made by credit card will incur a transaction fee of 2%. Our preferred method of payment is by direct bank (Telegraphic) transfer.
Cancellations:
All travel between 15 December – 06 January
Cancellation received before 14 August: The client will forfeit the deposit along with any prepaid supplier charges that cannot be refunded
Cancellation received from 15 August: The client will forfeit their deposit (25% of the total package) and 100% of accommodation cost.
Cancellation received within 31 days of travel: The client will forfeit 100% of itinerary cost.
