Pacific Resort Aitutaki

After increasing demand Luxury Adventures now offers the Cook Islands to its expanding portfolio of must visit South Pacific destinations. Both key destinations, Rarotonga and Aitutaki are included and are ideal for a romantic Cook Islands honeymoon or luxury vacation either as an add on to New Zealand or as a standalone vacation.

The Cook Islands are comparable to other tropical South Pacific destinations that we offer such as Fiji and Tahiti with a focus on value. Value can sometimes be offset by less luxurious resorts but not so here, for instance the idyllic island of Aitutaki, located only 45 mins via plane from Rarotonga offers a SLH (Small Luxury Hotels of the world) 5 star resort in the form of ‘Pacific Resort Aitutaki‘. The Pacific Resorts sister property in Rarotonga (Pacific Resort Rarotonga) offers a similar style experience but carries a 4 star rating.

Some of typical activities that can be enjoyed in the Cook Islands include; snorkeling and scuba diving, day trips around Rarotonga, game fishing including the hard fighting bone fish, hiking the inland trails on Rarotonga, private picnics on one of the many little islands within Aitutaki, a round of golf, spa treatments, viewing the majestic humpback whales or just enjoying cocktails on the beach at your luxury resort.

The gateway to the Cook Islands is Auckland, New Zealand as just about all flights bar one from Los Angles per week originate here. Air New Zealand offers a daily return service to the main island and capital of the Cook Islands, Rarotonga. Flight time to Rarotonga from Auckland is 4 hours and around 3.5 hours going the other way.

Contact Luxury Adventures for more information about  visiting the Cook Islands or adding it to your New Zealand itinerary.
