From March 17-25, 2018 Rotorua will host the Crankworx world tour, attracting many of the worlds best mountain bikers over a range of biking disciplines. Rotorua is just one stop on the world tour and the only one in the southern hemisphere. The three other locations are Austria, France and Canada. Riders compete in one or more events with some crossing over into multiple disciplines. The Slope-stylers are all gunning for the elusive Crankworx triple crown, where you must win three of the four Slopestyle events. Its a family friendly event with Kidsworx giving the groms a chance to get out and ride. Designed for children 12 and under, and their parents, this zone offers all the races, demo bikes, and expo fun of the main festival, with extra coaching opportunities to help youngsters get in on the action.
