The world class luxury villas at Eagles Nest are the perfect venue for a vacation, honeymoon, elegant wedding or customised special event. Each unique self-contained villa can be booked alone or in combination. Sacred Space and First Light Temple, on each side of the pool, spa and sauna, accommodate up to ten people. The entire Eagles Nest estate accommodates up to 22 people.
Sacred Space: The heart of Eagles Nest. Casually elegant, the large 2 storey glass-roofed living area transforms gracefully from relaxed living to formal dining and then into your own private movie theatre at night. The Eyrie and Eagle Spirit: Both homes are on their own private almost three acre property and are within walking distance from First Light Temple and Sacred Space. The Eyrie and Eagle Spirit feature three ensuited bedrooms, open plan living/dining rooms with romantic fire places and designer kitchen, all opening onto large sun-set decks over looking the beautiful Bay of Islands. Built along similar lines to the Lodge with a high pitched ceiling and extensive double glazed windows, the Whare Kea Chalet is no ordinary mountain hut, rather a true extension of the comfort and luxury of Whare Kea Lodge. The overall design concept was to minimise the Chalet's impact on the environment. Conceived to maximise the breathtaking views the Chalet has two double bedrooms for four guests. Two additional guests can be accommodated in a comfortable and spacious loft. The guide and house staff member share a third bedroom. Everyone shares the combined lounge, bathroom, dining and kitchen area. Located at 5,600ft (1700m) in the Buchanan mountain range beside the Mount Aspiring National Park , the Whare Kea Chalet site enjoys direct sun all day. The chalet has stunning views from Mount Cook on the north east horizon, to Mount Aspiring looming 10,000ft (3000m) in the west. Between Mount Aspiring and the Chalet, the remote forest filled East Matukituki River valley lies 4,000ft (1200m) below. In summer, the vista is one of high rocky mountains, glaciers, residual snowfields and alpine meadows. In winter, the Chalet lies under a deep blanket of snow.

Facilities: The Whare Kea Chalet is gas heated and has a 240V solar and wind generated electricity supply for guests comfort and convenience. There is an internal washroom, however for environmental reasons the toilet is located externally at the edge of the rear deck.

Edenhouse
Not a hotel or a lodge but a gracious home situated on 48 acres of private grounds. Edenhouse is, to quote a guest, "a true treasure in a remarkable land".
Edenhouse accepts a maximum of 6 guests at a time and single party bookings will be accepted. The accommodation is not suitable for children under 16 years of age. Guests enjoy spacious rooms with outstanding views and large private bathrooms. Edenhouse is located at the top of the South Island in the Nelson/Tasman Bay region. It is an area that enjoys the most sunshine hours of anywhere in New Zealand and is home to some of the most popular tourist attractions in the South Island. The beautiful Orinoco Valley, in which Edenhouse is located, is 45 minutes by road from Nelson Airport and about two and a half hours from the Picton ferry terminal.
Facilities: Each bedroom suite (square footage 450) has a private bathroom (shower over the bath), with the best quality linen and toiletries, Downstairs, guests can relax in the sitting room, formal dining room, artists’ studio, den or library. Guests can utilize several courtyard areas providing additional places to eat, drink and relax. Guests have access to a private garden spa with enviable views. Set under a pergola in a secluded area of the grounds the spa makes for a very relaxing interlude and guests can enjoy the well-stocked refrigerator nearby. Horse Riding in the Otahuna Valley
The riding in the Otahuna Valley is operated by Kate Tapley, a leading practitioner of natural horsemanship. Kate or one of her trained and experienced trekking guides will lead you on one of our trails through native forest and over hills with impressive panoramic views. She will match you with a horse that suits your riding experience and temperament, and teach you simple techniques to communicate with and control your mount, so you may enjoy each other's company as much as the glorious surroundings.
Milford Sound & Doubtful Sound - Fiordlander Heli Flight
Fly across Lake Wakatipu into the heart of the Fiordland National Park to the breathtaking Lake Quill and the 2500 ft Sutherland Falls. View the famous Milford Track - one of New Zealand’s popular wilderness areas en route to Milford Sound. Following all this you experience a glacier landing, one of the most awe inspiring experiences with ice formations and crevasses to astound. Doubtful Sound is remote and spectacular, featuring beautiful inlets and dramatic views. From Queenstown the flight takes us over vast untouched forests. Time for lunch at our remote musterers cabin before your return. Fly across Mt Aspiring National Park over the famous Moonlight and Shotover Canyons before landing back into Queenstown.

Milford Track Encounter
Your day begins by meeting your guide in Te Anau , followed by a short journey along the shores of Lake Te Anau to the Te Anau Downs boat harbour, before cruising for an hour to the spectacular northern end of the lake. Enjoy a hot drink on board with your guide. After disembarking at the start of the track we walk 1.6km (1 mile) to historic Glade House, one of the original Milford Track Lodges, dating back to the 1890's. Enjoy hot soup from the kitchen with your lunch, all included in your walk. From here the track follows the Clinton River as it meanders through rich Beech forest for a further 3.2 km (2 miles) to the Clinton Hut. Your guide will point out the birdlife and unique aspects of the valley, then take you off the track to show you a few places you might otherwise miss. For those who want a little more of a challenge there will be the option of returning via the Glade Burn track, giving you one final vista of Lake Te Anau before boarding the return launch.
Stewart Island scenic flight, walk and kayak experience
We kayak west along Paterson Inlet's bush clad shoreline, exploring the hidden bays of Kaipipi and onto Millars Beach. Enjoy the peaceful surrounding, songs of native birds and the sound of the sea, whilst you gaze through crystal clear waters at the superb marine life including, blue cod, trumpeter, starfish, jellyfish, mussels and intricate seaweed. Watch seabirds in the water or along the shore including penguins, cormorants and oystercatchers. You may hear/see kaka (native parrot) calling their liquid honey notes, interspersed with the bellbird's exquisite notes and the wonderfully varied calls of the Tui. Loose yourself in the magic of the place!
We stop for lunch overlooking Millars Beach. Then walk a short 15 minutes to the site of the old whaling base through native forest with tall rimus, tree ferns and delicate ground ferns. Continue on by kayak to explore the sheltered waters of Prices Inlet down to Kidney Fern Arm.
Fox Glacier - Heli Hike
The fly-in, fly-out helihike combines the excitement of walking on the Fox Glacier with the thrill of helicopter flights. By flying in you are able to access and explore a part of the glacier where its forces work hardest and often create spectacular ice caves and arches. Equipped with sturdy leather boots and other equipment, you board the helicopter for your first flight over the pinnacles of the lower icefall. You then circle the upper icefall and Victoria Falls before landing. Your landing site on the ice is a remote and exceptionally beautiful part of the glacier. At this stage, your guide outfits you with crampons, specially designed for these ice conditions and you follow the ice steps cut by your guide as you explore the amazing formations and ice caves which are only seen here. Please note that this is a natural and ever changing environment. Ice features change constantly and no guarantee can be given that specific features will be seen.
Queenstown Winery Tour and Grant Taylor Experience
This privately guided winery tour offers a unique wine and food experience in the Central Otago region. This tour is a relaxed and leisurely experience amongst picturesque surroundings. Inclusive of lunch - guests select their preferred luncheon destination visit, gourmet cheese presentation and tasting. You will also be in the company and knowledge of Wine Maker Grant Taylor. Enjoy a private tasting of his label Valli. Grant produces single vineyard Pinot Noirs displaying characteristics of the different Otago sub regions. Born in Otago New Zealand, Grant graduated from Lincoln College, Canterbury, New Zealand. His wine making career began in California where in 1980 he helped build Pine Ridge Winery and worked as assistant winemaker until 1986. In 1987 he helped build another Napa Valley winery, Domaine Napa, where he was head winemaker until 1993.
Abel Tasman water and wine cruise & tour
For something special take a cruise along the beautiful waterways, beaches and bays of the Abel Tasman National Park. After leaving Kaiteriteri Beach visit Split Apple Rock and Tonga Island seal colony, we will also see a range of birds, varying from blue penguins, shags (cormorants) to pelagic seabirds. If the opportunity arises try your hand at fishing, or maybe swim or snorkeling in the emerald green waters, its up to you! You could go ashore at one of the many beaches for a stroll. The time for lunch and afterwards your host will take you on a wine tour of the regions vineyards and wineries.

Luxury Adventures Fine Print
Payment
To confirm your package Luxury Adventures requires a deposit of 25% of the total package cost. This booking deposit is non refundable. The deposit secures airfares and accommodation bookings etc. Full payment for the package is required 60 days before tour commencement. If a booking is made less than 60 days before tour commencement, then payment is required in full at the time of booking. All prices are quoted in NZ dollars unless otherwise specified. Prices include New Zealand Goods and Services Tax at 15%. Payment can be made by direct bank (telegraphic) transfers, or credit card. All credit cards will incur a transaction fee of 4%. Our preferred method of payment is by direct bank (Telegraphic) transfer please contact us for details. Or you can fill out your credit card details on our secure booking form.
Cancellations
It is recommended that you take out travel insurance covering cancellation. 25% of the total cost of the package is in any event nonrefundable. In the event of a cancellation 30 to 60 days prior to tour commencement, we will refund 50% of the package price. In the event of a cancellation 29 days or less prior to tour commencement, there will be no refund. This cancelation policy is subject to change during peak season and special events, in this case you will be notified prior to confirmation of booking.
Limitation of Liability
We expect you to be honest with us in assessing your level of fitness and abilities. The activities you will be undertaking can be demanding and involve the risk of serious injury or death. There are other risks such as theft or damage to property. Luxury Adventures will not be responsible for any loss or injury whatsoever that you or parties associated with you may suffer. You and all members of your party will be required to sign a release form (see below) prior to commencement of tour activities.
Release Form
I hereby acknowledge that Luxury Adventures will not be responsible for any loss or injury (including death) that I may suffer as a result of taking a tour with Luxury Adventures. I agree to make no claim against Luxury Adventures arising out of the tour and I further agree that no third party may make a claim through me or on my behalf. The provisions of this release shall apply to Luxury Adventures, its directors, employees and agents. Should any dispute arise between the parties such dispute will be governed exclusively by the laws of New Zealand.
