Wakefield Quay House is a heritage villa offering relaxed luxurious bed and breakfast accommodation in Nelson. The property is only a few metres from the sea and overlooking Tasman Bay and the harbour entrance on New Zealand’s beautiful Nelson waterfront. The Nelson Harbour is a hive of activity with big ships and fishing boats,a busy and bustling place. Wakefield Quay House is the place to kick off your shoes, socialise with other guests and locals, and take a break from your travels. Around sunset each evening you are invited to join your hosts Woodi and Johnny on the deck for a fine Nelson wine or beer or two, they will tell you all you need to know to make your stay in Nelson fun! From our prime spot you can watch the ships and yachts come and go, enjoy the panoramic sea to mountain views that take in Haulashore Island, the naturally formed Boulder Bank with its historic lighthouse and all the way across Tasman Bay to the Abel Tasman National Park. Luckily for us, the sun conveniently sets over the water bang in the middle of our view.

Facilities: Both guest rooms have brilliant sea views, super comfy beds with sumptuous fabrics, new magazines, fresh flowers, fresh magazines, flat screen TVs and iPod docks with iPods. Also freshly ground plunger coffee and variety of teas, NZ chocolates, down duvets, bathrobes, electric blankets, hairdryers, large fluffy towels on the heated towel rails and NZ wool carpets. Linden Leave and L’Occitaine toiletries are provided for you, along with wi-fi and a dedicated guest computer. Settle in for a silver service breakfast of bread straight from the oven, local organic juices, fresh fruits, freshly roasted coffee, and yoghurts, free range eggs and smoked salmon – the perfect way to start your day!
