Not a hotel or a lodge but a gracious home situated on 48 acres of private grounds. Edenhouse is, to quote a guest, "a true treasure in a remarkable land". Edenhouse accepts a maximum of 6 guests at a time and single party bookings will be accepted. The accommodation is not suitable for children under 16 years of age. Guests enjoy spacious rooms with outstanding views and large private bathrooms. Edenhouse is located at the top of the South Island in the Nelson/Tasman Bay region. It is an area that enjoys the most sunshine hours of anywhere in New Zealand and is home to some of the most popular tourist attractions in the South Island. The beautiful Orinoco Valley, in which Edenhouse is located, is 45 minutes by road from Nelson Airport and about two and a half hours from the Picton ferry terminal.

Facilities: Each bedroom suite (square footage 450) has a private bathroom (shower over the bath), with the best quality linen and toiletries, Downstairs, guests can relax in the sitting room, formal dining room, artists’ studio, den or library. Guests can utilize several courtyard areas providing additional places to eat, drink and relax. Guests have access to a private garden spa with enviable views. Set under a pergola in a secluded area of the grounds the spa makes for a very relaxing interlude and guests can enjoy the well-stocked refrigerator nearby. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available at Edenhouse. There is a café two minutes away from the house where guests can also eat. Fresh local produce, including organic, is always available to create delicious meals at Edenhouse. Hens lay free-range eggs and everything from seafood to sheep cheese is available.
