Huntley House was originally built in 1876 as a family home by J H Twentyman, one of Christchurch's early settlers. The Reid family, current owners of the property, bought Huntley in 1971, again as a family home, and it has long been the dream of John Reid to convert the house into a world class Boutique Hotel. Today we endeavour to carry on the tradition of hospitality and the warmth of welcome that has been the hallmark at Huntley House for many years. The Reid family, together with a dedicated and professional team will ensure that the welcome is as warm now as ever it was.

Facilities: As part of the Huntley House renaissance, two new accommodation wings have recently been added adjacent to the original homestead. The Garden Rooms feature all the standard amenities as listed above. In addition, these rooms have outside balconies or verandahs overlooking the gardens.
